13th - 20th July 2010. Follow Mark & Peter's Ride to Switzerland on our Harley Davidson Motorcycles. We're taking Euro-tunnel to Calais with stopover in the Lorraine region then on to Mulhouse and Luzern over the Swiss Alps via St. Gotthard Pass to the rally in Lugano on the Swiss Italian border. Our return will be via the Black Forest, Germany.
Today, first thing, we headed along the D603 for the city of the Verdun on the river Meuse to look at the memorials. In 1916 it was scene of one of the greatest battles of the first world war.
